Exciting developments unfolded at CES 2024, where AI took center stage, permeating every facet of the event. While the industry progresses towards fulfilling past promises in Automated Vehicles (AVs), Electric Vehicles (EVs), and software-defined vehicles (SDVs), CES showcased significant advancements, particularly in the realm of SDVs.
The potential benefits of SDVs are becoming tangible, with numerous suppliers and tech companies, including Endeavour, unveiling innovations seamlessly integrating into flexible software architectures. This enables car manufacturers to deploy innovations more rapidly, reducing time to market.
In the realm of connected cars, CES saw key announcements and demonstrations covering new 5G deployments, teleoperations for steering vehicles remotely, cross-brand car-to-car connectivity, efficient data off-loading using WIFI, and the emergence of satellite options where cellular coverage is limited.
Despite progress made over the last 15 years, connectivity remains a challenge for Connected Cars, crucial for SDVs and enterprise value. Endeavour’s nSpire platform received positive feedback for its ability to address these challenges, offering solutions for coverage, quality, and managing surges in data usage.
On-demand videos of the conference are available here. We particularly recommend the insightful “Connectivity in Cars: Navigating the Future” session.
COVESA Networking Event
Endeavour showcased its latest innovations during the COVESA Networking Reception at the Bellagio Hotel on January 9th. The event, orchestrated by the Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA), drew significant attendance from key stakeholders in the AutomotiveTech ecosystem, including Michigan Lt Governor Garlin Gilchrist.
At the event, we had the pleasure of connecting with many automotive technology experts for discussions around visualizing and managing all communications technology from the vehicle perspective. Additionally, we had a live demo of our collaboration with Rolling Wireless.
The solution received very positive feedback, and we look forward to sharing more exciting developments from our collaborations and partnerships in the upcoming months.
Rolling Wireless Collaboration
Prior to CES, we announced a collaboration with Rolling Wireless, showcasing real-time connectivity performance measurement in automotive TCUs. This collaboration combines Rolling Wireless’ expertise in cellular and connected vehicle hardware and software with Endeavour Technology’s proficiency in connectivity performance analysis.
Over the four days of the conference, we had the opportunity to demo real-time connectivity KPI measurement and analysis, demonstrating the future of connected vehicles.
